Wellness Wednesday Self Care Special 20 September

Community | Lifestyle

Lock29 is to host its third Wellness Wednesday event on 20th September.
A free, inspiring and uplifting evening supporting positive mental health.

This time it’s a self-care special. So while the talks start at 6pm, it seems only appropriate that you can partake in some self-care before the event, with mini massages available from Body & Soul Massage from 5.30pm.

The evening will highlight why self-care is essential to well-being and happiness. The talks will help anyone attending develop small self-care habits that can make a big difference.

Speaking at the event are:
Claire Thorburn.
Claire has recently qualified as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and Emotional Freedom Technique Practitioner. Claire prioritises her own self-care and can show you how to find time in your busy schedules to do the same for yourselves.

Kate Laud Aguilar
Kate is a Counsellor, specialising in working with children and young people. She has a private practice and also works in local schools. Kate is a regular Mental Health Mates walker and is passionate about reducing the stigma around mental health struggles.

Dr Carla Runchman CPsychol, Clinical Psychologist
Carla is a Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years’ experience of working therapeutically with people across the lifespan with a range of mental health problems.

Information and resources from Steven from The Recovery College, Oxford and Jo from Oxfordshire Action for Happiness.

Wellness Wednesday was started following a conversation between Lock29’s General Manager, Chris Catford and founder of Banbury Mental Health Mates, Tara Lever.

Chris Catford, General Manager at Lock29 said: “Keeping the balance in life can be a challenge, so we’re delighted that Tara has put together such a great line up.  This will be an informal event in a small, relaxed setting.  Everyone is very welcome so make sure you book your place as it’s proved really popular already.”

Please book your free place by emailing mhmbanbury@hotmail.com
Wellness Wednesday starts at 6pm and will last around an hour and a half.
